Mission

Support new, emerging and established mentoring programs to help them become effective and successful serving their selected youth population.

Using the "Elements of Effective Practice" and 30+ years of mentoring experience, we help mentoring programs create a structure that will allow them the opportunity to be successful.

On March 16th, 2024 ANANIZACH, MENTOR Maryland | DC, and the Y of Central Maryland collaborated to host the 5th Annual Elevate H.E.R. event. Keeping with its purpose to Honor, Educate, and Revitalize, this inspiring gathering brought together young women and their mentors for a day filled with growth, empowerment, and creativity. The event was thoughtfully designed to nurture artistic expression and entrepreneurial skills among girls. Attendees had the opportunity to participate in two distinct workshops: an Arts Track where participants engaged in creative expression, including creating their own self-portraits and an Entrepreneur Track that focused on fostering business-minded thinking.

Held at Camden Yards in Baltimore, MD, this year’s Elevate H.E.R. was a celebration of mentorship, resilience, and the limitless potential of young women. We extend our heartfelt gratitude to the powerful women who hosted workshops during the event:

1.       Sonjie Decaire
2.       LaToya Peoples
3.       Isabel Argoti
4.       Shelly Eldridge
5.       Gabriela Argoti-Fernandez
6.       Roxie Icon
7.       DJ Phunatic the Madam

Their contributions enriched the experience for all attendees, fostering growth, empowerment, and inspiration. Elevate H.E.R. continues to be a beacon of support and encouragement for girls, mentors, and program staffproviding them with valuable tools to thrive in creative and business endeavors.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to all who attended and contributed to the success of Elevate H.E.R. Your commitment to empowering young women is invaluable, and we look forward to continuing this sisterhood, a journey of fulfilling dreams together.

Thank you to everyone for joining us for Elevate H.E.R.!
